Please help A GPU is a Graphic card. Here is what I recommend for a high quality starter rig at low cost. ASRock H81 ProBTC V2.0 Motherboard - These are made for mining (hence the term BTC even though you cant mine BTC on GPUs anymore - you could when this mobo debuted).

PCI-e risers and a Mining Rig frame. I build these: Symmetrical design, but with option to shift GPU rails to either side.

If it helps, I have a 1060 6g SSC constantly running and it floats between 1180-1215 kh/s at 92-94watts without issue. Equates to roughly 4kh/s / $cost of card. The math is about the same for other response's 1070 mini getting 1700kh/s. All depends on how much space you have for cards and what you want to spend now. I'm fairly sure I'll be doing 1070ti for my next zcoin card, but that's based on slot limitations.

Otherwise, I'd get two 1060s because I really do like them. Edit: Side note, I'd encourage you to work on the 1080ti a bit more for optimization. I believe you may be able to squeeze more out of that card with some tweaks or an updated version of miner.
