© 2017 - Efficient DigiByte DGB Mining
I used ccminer with Groestl to mine DGB in a pool on my GTX970 (win7). With the current rate I was able to mine (very roughly).70$-2.8$ a day. Obviously making a loss due to my electricity bill and disregarding hardware costs. I was wondering if this is the maximum I can mine with my current equipment and are there any benefits to using other algorithms?
I have been thinking to buy some SHA-256 miners, but I can't realy figure out if it is a good move to get me some second hand miners and start mining dgb, or just use that money. People bitch about Bitmain (and rightly so as their customer service sucks) but they by far have the most efficient product and best price to yield. What is the hashrate of the network doing (To figure my rate vs nethash to get an idea of how many DGB you'll mine each day). Even though the GTX1080Ti's would be more efficient, power-wise, because of the ability to purchase more hashing power by using GTX1060's as opposed to a gruntier card, I was able to buy a. DigiByte vs Lightning. GPU pool mining – nVidia (Skein). From here you can investigate further things like if it’s more efficient to mine. DigiByte vs Lightning. GPU pool mining – nVidia (Skein). I couldn't really get any information on the difference between Groestl, Qubit, Scrypt, sha256d and Skein. Would using sha256d for example increase my hash rate? (currently ~30 Mhash/s) Would utilizing my processor (i5) increase my mining potential or bottleneck everything and slow down my GPU? Do I have any influence on the difficulty used in pool mining? Should I aim for a low or high difficulty? DISCLAIMER: I'm not looking to make a profit I'm just trying to learn more about crypto currencies and have some fun. Hello there, I'm also using a Nvdia GTX970.
I started mining DGB last sunday. Using skein and ccminer I can get 230Mhash/s without overclocking and fan at 50% (and more around 215Mhash/s if I want to have a smooth use of my computer to do other things while it mines). My base difficulty is 0.1. I'm mining on the official DGB mining pool and it returns around 400-450 dgb for every 24h (with no down time), which is around 13000 DGB/month, so around 200$ a month at the moment. It seems its quite profitable, I'm really tempted to buy some more GPU ^ With around 80%uptime, my payouts have been 414; 534; 647; 123; DGB from 21 may to 24 may (~30$).
I hope this helps • • • •. I tried the skein algorythim and it really improved my hashrate from 30 to ~62Mhash/s but I'm still far from 200MHash/s. Are you on linux or do you use different drivers?
I use this cgminer to mine on the blockfactory you mind sharing the link to your ccminer that supports skein? Can I Mine Asch XAS On My Ipad there. Also which command do you use to limit your GPU to 70%. I tried using setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 70 but it still stated that there was no GPU limit set for some reason. Which operating system do you use?
Which program did you use to compile the miner source code EDIT: I had to delete my previous comment since the link to the miner (me ga up lo ad) was removed/shadowbanned site wide. I now linked to the site that contains the download link. However I would also like to mention that the file is detected by several antivirus programs as trojan.bitcoin miner (I'm no expert but it should be safe). Check this virustotal report and use your own common sense.
