Source: February 4, 2018 6:02 pm Hello, I came here from r/bitcoin expecting to find a “getting started” or “how to” for mining. I’m not seeing anything like that pinned or in the community guidlines. I would just use Google but now days you can’t trust Google as much for fear of scams. I’m curious about how to get started mining with my system and if it is even worth it with my computer. I get free electricity and internet where I live so electricity is not an issue. This is my computer: CPU: Intel I7-6700 3.40GHZ Processor ASUS H170 PRO GAMING Motherboard RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB DDR4 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming Tower: In-WIN 303 Midtower Atx Black Operating System: Windows 10 64 Bit SSD: Crucial MX300 1 TB SSD Cooling: Corsair H80i V2 Hydro Cooler Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750W G2 Thanks. Source: February 4, 2018 4:25 pm I’m selling because I have to close my mining facility due to problems with the location.
I already sold all my miners I had in hand and now I’m selling the ones that haven’t arrived yet. S9 (with PSU) from February Batch (will arrive in 2-3 weeks) for 3100$ each. S9 (with PSU) from March Batch for 2600$ each. Shipping not included in the price and shipping would be from Switzerland. Prices are somewhat negotiable. Payment could be done through bank transfer or crypto. Submitted by /u/JewishLeg [link] [comments].
Source: February 4, 2018 10:13 am If you just had enough of Bitcoin forks lately, then this might be of interest – an upcoming Litecoin fork called Litecoin Cash (LCC) is coming up shortly and it will be using SHA256 as mining algorithm among some other changes. Best Asic Komodo KMD Miner 2018 here. The Litecoin Cash (LCash anyone?) will be forking at Litecoin block which should occur on or around February 19th, 2018 will have a 10:1 claim ratio for Litecoin (LTC) users holding their coins in a local wallet or a compatible exchange or service that will support LCC. The maximum LCC supply will also be 10 times higher at 840 Million and the block reward will also be 10 times higher than what Litecoin currently has, so 250 LCC per block. The target block time remains at 2.5 minute, though difficulty adjustment will be changed, LitecoinCash will be using Evan.
Source: February 3, 2018 8:06 pm Hello guys, I presume this website is most probably a scam as with all the cloud mining websites. However, as these websites generally continue to pay in the first month or so, I guess it would be fine to invest in the first day and get some before they go down. Also, I somehow associate them with the recently closed spacemining.io, from which I got a payment as I signed up on the first day as they first introduced their website on adbtc.top. Anyway, that’s totally up to you but I decided to give it a go because I earned with spacemining.
Here is the link to their website. Elderhash And here is my referral if you wish: Referral submitted by /u/mrtdlgc [link] [comments]. Source: February 3, 2018 7:46 pm InterPlanetery Broadcast Coin (IPBC) is a new project for sharing digital content online with with an integrated cryptocurrency ecosystem. Think along the lines of YouTube, but without any advertisements, instead users uploading videos on the platform get compensated by the people watching them. IPBC comes with a web media miner that essentially uses some of your computer’s resources to mine while you watch the video and all the used hashpower gets credited to the person that has uploaded the video. There is no need for visitors to download and use a dedicated miner, everything happens directly inside the browser and the mining does not interfere with the video watching. The best thing is that even though IPBC is still a new project the video platform with mining integration is already available, so it is not just something promised to come.

Source: January 29, 2018 7:34 pm Every time you get new PCI-E risers for a new GPU mining rig you may be surprised with build varying build quality and that can affect the stability of the system you are building. Even when the quality is fine there is another common problem that the standard PCI Express risers using USB 3.0 cable printed upwards exhibit – they have the tendency to move a bit in the slot and even at times disconnect. This can cause a bad connection or even a broken one and one or more of your GPUs suddenly disappearing from the miner and you starting to wonder what happened and diagnosing the whole system to find the culprit. Fortunately there is a simple solution available if you have a 3D printer or a friend with one that can help you print a small and. Source: January 28, 2018 6:52 pm If you are a small crypto miner and not a large mining operation you may find it very hard to acquire up to date Bitcoin ASIC miners as the demand is still pretty high and the wait time is long.
If you manage to find an ASIC miner is stock the chances are the price will be significantly higher as they are being resold with serious profit by people that prefer to make money this way instead of mining with the devices. At the moment there are pretty much 4 main manufacturers of Bitcoin ASIC miners that sell to end users and in small quantities and as you might expect they do not have anything in stock as the wait time is in months.

Source: January 27, 2018 3:17 pm There is an interesting new Chinese company called Octominer that is apparently focusing on the GPU mining market by offering a specialized mining motherboard for 8 GPU mining rigs. The Octominer B8PLUS motherboard has 8x full size PCI-E slots spaced decently enough to eliminate the need to use PCI-E riser boards. The manufacturer suggests that the motherboard is suitable for any Nvidia or AMD GPU that is 4.5 cm or thinner, so all 2 slot thickness cards should fit, 2.5 slot cards might also fit, but very tightly and there could be some trouble with cooling them. Furthermore the motherboard comes with integrated Intel mobile CPU with built-in graphics.
The motherboards uses SO-DIMM DDR4 memory and comes with M-SATA slot for an SSD memory and a sATA interface for an external HDD or SSD drive that you need to buy. Source: January 24, 2018 11:30 am Bminer is a relatively new miner for Nvidia GPUs for mining cryptocurrencies using the Equihash algorithm such as Zcash (ZEC). It is a closed source miner, available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and comes with a 2% dev fee included (optional, though disabling it apparently removes some optimizations). Bminer comes as an alternative to the popular EWBF miner, the development of which has been stalled for a while already, as well as the more recent dstm ZCash CUDA Miner that looks promising and is actively being developed, but still lacks some features such as failover pool support for example. So any new alternatives such as Bminer that are being actively improved and developed are more than welcome for the users and the crypto community as well. According to its developers and most users that have tried the Bminer. Source: January 24, 2018 11:03 am It seems that WaveCrest is also terminating their prepaid MasterCard cards powered by crypto currencies, but unlike the sudden surprise at the beginning of this year with their Visa issued cards, now at least it is not entirely “effective immediately”.
There is 1 month grace period for users to either use the funds or withdraw them, though loading up money to the card has been stopped effective immediately. Below is a quote of the official email that WaveCrest has been sending to its customers regarding the situation Dear Cardholder, We regret to inform you that from the 27 February 2018, we will no longer be able to service your MyChoice Prepaid Debit Card. You should, therefore, use up or remove any balance on your card before that date. We will block the loading of new funds to your card effective. Source: January 23, 2018 9:32 am bitFlyer, the largest Japanese cryptocurrency exchange has been granted payment institution (PI) license to operate in the European Union (EU) and is now accepting registrations for users from EU. It is interesting to note that this has become the first Bitcoin exchange to be regulated in Japan, the US and Europe, making it the most compliant virtual currency exchange in the world at the moment.
The Japanese crypto market is booming and thanks to bitFlyer users from Europe and USA should be able to get access and trade Bitcoins on that market. The not so good news at the moment is that bitFlyer’s initial product offering is only the BTC/EUR pair, though the already has company plans to add support for other virtual currencies such as Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) later in the.
