In my Gollum-like obsession over utilizing as much as HDD space as I have available to me, I took a look at my own home NAS. I have a Synology DS716+ II with a couple WD Red 8TB drives in it.

Initially, I had allocated a good several TB for Sia hosting but the network isn't really being utilized so I recently scaled back to 1 TB for Sia. So what to do with the other 13+ TB I wasn't using? Well what else than plot plot plot, amirite?! I wouldn't recommend CPU plotting on the NAS itself, the Celeron chip is pretty slow. You'd be better of generating the plot elsewhere and either copying the files over or mounting it as a network share when plotting remotely. You can use the Synology itself to perform the mining on the plots.

I've created a and the newer-ish Synology models have Docker support built-in. Just a matter of mapping your volumes into the Docker container and you'd be good to go! My plotter is currently busy with some externals, but I'll likely get it going on the extra NAS space this week.

I currently Have 27 TB of Burst mining Power. Please see stats below If you have Free Hard drives why are you not mining? The Cool thing about Burstcoin it is uses an advanced green algorithm to verify all transactions. All you really need is free space on your Harddrives to contribute to the network and mint your own coins. The algorithm favors smaller miners by deafult. What is BURST? Viacoin VIA Miner For Sale.

– The future of money, stocks, and money generation. BURST is a computer based platform capable of much more than any current system, it is a financial platform, it is a sales platform, it is a stock market, it is the future of the way we will view money. It is a Bitcoin 2.0 platform, meaning it is like bitcoin in base ways, but vastly improved over bitcoin, and has a lot more to offer. The interface is nicer, the system itself is as secure and the way it is minted, or ‘mined’ is future proof, taking a fraction of the power of Bitcoin mining, but that’s not all, because of the way the mining works, it is naturally able to stay more decentralized, and won’t get to the point Bitcoin is today with basically 4 large companies running the vast majority of the network. Quoted from The Pool I am Using and have been using the longest is it is a great pool for Small miners and large miners combined! Start mining Burst now!
