If anyone is wondering why AVX2 Is something to look for, it's an instruction set that is much more efficient at plotting/mining. Meaning less power is needed on either. BUT remember you can create a Mining Rig and a Plotting rig. For the ultimate Lower power plotting rig, create it around a low power CPU,. Reddit: the front page of the internet. Are you mining burst and etheruem on the same machine. I am in the process of building a ETH rig now. Permalink; embed.
• Burst is a revolutionary cryptocurrency using a unique consensus algorithm called Proof of Capacity. This allows the mining process to shed exorbitantly priced hardware, extreme electricity consumption, and massive amounts of generated heat, while further decentralizing by enabling anyone with extra disk space to participate with almost no performance degradation to their machine. By precomputing nonces once and storing them on hard drives each nonce can later be recalled in the mining process. • Burst was the first cryptocurrency to implement turing complete smart contracts and also boasts integrated, escrow services, crowdfunding, messages, and a decentralized asset exchange and marketplace.

The blank screen happens sometimes, it's just a visual bug.if you leave the page up it loads in time, the main thing is my network connection with them stays at 100% and my deadlines get summited. I have seen on the forums he's working on the fix. A lot of the pools have little errors. With your size plot I would recommend BTFG pool. There rollover on there shares are really nice and you can earn steady burst with a low amount of TBs. The drives are Western Digital my book 4tb, Seagate Expansion 4tb.
The are all connected though 2 USB 3.0 hubs with 4 spots each. I have room to expand by 2 more hard drives.
I will add a PCI USB 3.0 card after that. Just a word of advice, Western Digital drives are PMR and they can write the plot file a lot faster.
The Seagate drives are SMR and they take forever to write the plot file. Significantly longer.
The cost makes them a better choice though. What I do to get around it is have a dedicated plot hard drive that you write the file to (PMR)and then copy it over to the other (SMR). It adds a few hours to the process but without doing it you would add days on to your plotting. The SMR drives read a lil bit faster the the PMR drives. I myself have not noticed a difference other then a few thousandths of a second.
